Reiki Self Healing - RSH 1
Description
Reiki, a Japanese term that translates to "universal life force energy," is a healing practice developed by Dr. Mikao Usui. This system of natural healing, often referred to as the Usui System of Reiki, was later refined by Dr. Chujiro Hayashi, one of Dr. Usui's prominent students. Dr. Hayashi introduced standardized hand positions and structured the method into smaller, accessible parts, making the practice easier to learn and teach.
Although neither Dr. Usui nor Dr. Hayashi documented their teachings in writing, the knowledge was preserved and expanded through their students. Mrs. Hawayo Takata, a former cancer patient who benefited from Reiki treatment under Dr. Hayashi, compiled notes based on her experiences. She also introduced a fee structure to formalize and support the dissemination of this practice.
Reiki is recognized as a powerful technique for healing oneself and others by channeling and directing prana, or life force energy. This universal energy is inherent in all of us, and Reiki emphasizes the importance of becoming aware of it to harness its healing potential. In self-healing sessions, participants explore various techniques to direct prana throughout their bodies, promoting balance, health, and overall well-being.
